Dynamic Pot Bearing are the new generation of bridge bearings designed to meet the demands of today's complex bridge structures. In modern highway Engineering, the advent of longer span & continuous bridges, coupled with compound curves and increased truckloads, have resulted in larger load and movements concentrated on fewer piers, these loads and movements exceed traditional bridge bearing capabilities. The Dynamic Pot Bearings are developed to meet these complex design parameters.
These Bearings are consisting of metal piston supported by a disc of unreinforced elastomer that is confined within the metal pot. This bearing may be provided with sliding assembly comprising of Stainless steel plate welded to the Topplate sliding in horizontal plane over PTFE. These Bearings are provided with Anchoring arrangement connecting with Bottom & Top Structures. Depending on the desired functioning. Pot bearings may be three types. Special Feature in Dynamic Pot Bearing is POM Sealing
A key element of the pot bearing is the elastomeric disc or pad which acts like a fluid under pressure, permitting the rotation. So sealing is very important part between pot & piston to ensure the correct functioning of this pressure pad. We are providing POM (Poly Oxy Methylene) sealing chain which consist of individual interlocking elements made of moulded polyoxymethylene having properties & size as per cl.925.5 of IRC : 83 (Part III) 2002.
Fixed Pot Bearing
These bearings are consisting of POT, Elastomeric pad & Topplate.
Along with vertical load bears & transmits horizontal force in any direction and allows rotation about any axis in horizontal plane without permitting any movement in horizontal plane.
Guided Sliding Pot cum PTFE Bearing
These bearings are consisting of POT, Elastomeric pad, piston, PTFE Sheet, Stainless Steel plate & Topplate.
Along with vertical load bears & transmits horizontal force in one direction and allows movement perpendicular to that direction and allows rotation about any axis in horizontal plane.
Depending on the movement Guided Sliding Bearings are divided in to two types. Longitudinal Guided POT/PTFE Bearings (allowing movement in Long. direction) and Transverse Guided POT/PTFE Bearings (allowing movement in Trans. direction)
Stainless steel plate is mirror polished for smooth movement of Topplate and it will reduce the friction.
Free Sliding Pot cum PTFE Bearing
Construction is similar as Guided type only guide will not be provided. These bearings are consisting of POT, Elastomeric pad, piston, PTFE Sheet, Stainless Steel plate & Topplate.
Bears and transmits vertical load and allows movement in any direction in the horizontal plane & accommodates rotation about any axis in horizontal plane.
 
APPROVALS
The In-house manufacturing and tesing facility are approved by MORTH (Ministry of Road, Transport and Highways) & RDSO (Research Design & Standards Organization) as well as by various State Road Development Corporations. In the past several years many clients and consultants had visited the factory and approved the manufacturing setup and the bridge bearings by witnessing the testing.
CAPACITY AND QUANTITY
The manufacturing setup of Pot bearing is equipped with sophisticated machines capable of precise machining and speedy production. Dynamic can produce bearings of 2000 tons capacity and in the recent past high capacity bearing have been installed on many bridge projects. Some of the bigger capacity and large quantity bearings have been supplied to prestigious projects like Pne Satara Road Project (410 Nos.) for SMS Ltd, Bitco Flyover (416 Nos.) for Petron Civil Engineering, Kanpur Project (992 Nos.) for NEC, Belgaum BOT project (668 Nos.) for Punj Lloyd Ltd. and many others.
QUALITY CONTROL
Dynamic POT Bearings are subjected to stringent quality control norms. They are constantly checked at every stage of its manufacturing process on a regular basis with documentation for each and every bearing manufactured. The finished bearings are tested as per the codal specifications.
